Mr. Robertson concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation, commercial litigation, insurance coverage, personal injury and commercial transactions.
Mr. Robertson was born in Moline, Illinois. He served as an officer in the United State Army from 1968 – 1972, and he is a combat veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Robertson has served on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel. From 1979 – 1999, he was a member of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Civil Jury Instructions. He also served on the Advisory Committee of Local Rules of Procedure for the Federal Court, Central District of Illinois, from 1994 until 2011. Mr. Robertson has been selected for inclusion in Illinois Leading Lawyer. Also, he has been rated AV by Martindale Hubbell for 25 years.
Mr. Robertson is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Knox County Bar Association, the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, and the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association.
In the Galesburg community, John is an active member of the Galesburg Noon Lions Club. John is a past-president of the Lions Club, a Melvin Jones Fellow, and he has been named Lion of the year.
