John Robertson focuses his practice in trial and appellate litigation, insurance coverage issues and personal injury claims. Born in Moline, Illinois in 1946, he received his undergraduate degree from Ripon College in 1968 where he was Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Alpha Theta. From 1968 to 1972, John served in the U.S. Army, (Capt., Armor) and served in Vietnam. He obtained his J.D. in 1975 from the University of Illinois.
John is a member of the Knox County and Illinois State Bar Associations. He is a former member of the Insurance Law Section Council of the ISBA, and the ISBA Standing Committee on Public Relations. From 1979 through 1996, he also served as a member of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Jury Instructions in Civil Cases. John is a member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel and a member of the Appellate Lawyers Association of Illinois. He is also a member of the Local Rules Committee for the United States District Court, Central District of Illinois.
John is a member and past president of the Galesburg Noon Lions Club and has served on the board of the Western Illinois Agency on Aging. John has a Martindale-Hubbell AV Peer Review Rating and was selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer in 2007.
