Mr. Statham is a founding member of the firm and focuses his practice in the areas of family law, real estate transactions, collections, municipal law, civil and criminal trial and appellate practice.

Mr. Statham was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1960. Prior to entering private practice, he served as an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Knox County State’s Attorney’s office from 1986 to 1988.

Mr. Statham’s family law practice includes the areas of divorce, post-divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, parentage, pre-marital agreements, domestic violence, guardianship and adoption.

Mr. Statham’s real estate practice encompasses both residential and commercial transactions. The practice includes advising clients involved in the purchase, sale and lease of all types of real estate. Mr. Statham is also an agent for Attorneys’ Title Guaranty Fund, Inc.

The collections practice includes commercial collections, foreclosure, replevin and creditors’ rights in bankruptcy. Mr. Statham’s clients include financial institutions, healthcare providers, small businesses and landlords. He is also available to serve as local counsel in all phases of the collection process.

With over 20 years of experience in the field of criminal law, Mr. Statham is available to represent clients with criminal charges pending in either state or federal court. His trial experience includes serving as lead counsel in three homicide trials.

Mr. Statham received a Peer Review Rating of BV® Distinguished from Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Statham practices in courts throughout central Illinois and has argued cases before both the Third District Appellate Court of Illinois and the Illinois Supreme Court. He is a member of the Illinois Bar Association, Illinois Creditors Bar Association and Knox County Bar Association.
